Rising 33 stories in the Gold Coast area of downtown Chicago, Ill., the Affinia Chicago is one block from Michigan Avenue shopping on the Magnificent Mile and two blocks from the Museum of Contemporary Art and Historic Water Tower. Within four blocks of the hotel are the Lake Michigan Lakefront Running Path and the John Hancock Center.
Hotel Features. The parlor lobby displays simple seating arrangements and antique lighting. The Affinia Chicago houses an old fashioned barber shop with hair cut and shaving services and a red and white striped pole. Flexible event space offers complimentary print and fax services. The hotel features a fitness facility with cardiovascular equipment and weight training machines. Pets are welcome at this hotel.
Guestrooms. Canopied beds with pillowtop mattresses embellish the Affinia Chicago's 520 guest suites, All rooms are furnished with in set wood bookcases, antique style benches and scalloped curtains. Amenities include cable television, video game consoles and high speed Internet access for a fee. Bathrooms feature terry cloth bathrobes and complimentary designer toiletries.
Expert Tip. Giordano's pizza restaurant sits immediately outside the Affinia Chicago and features unique Chicago style pizza and entr�es. A local favorite, this pizzeria specializes in deep dish, double crusted pizzas stuffed with ricotta cheese giving travelers an authentic taste of Chicago.
